Angus Council recently announced the projects voted for by the public that have been successful in gaining a share of £260,000. And a number of Brechin groups are celebrating.

In all, 92 groups from across Angus made bids (totalling £878,784) for a share of the fund, which was available through the council’s Participatory Budgeting programme, Choice for Angus. Participatory Budgeting (PB) is about local people deciding on how public money is spent.

Suitable projects were then put forward for the public to vote for online via the Shaping Angus social pinpoint pages between November 15 and 22. 14,672 votes were cast over the course of that week.
