After last year’s cancellation due to Covid, Brechin Scout Group are delighted to confirm they are gearing up for the Christmas Card delivery service.

It is hoped that as many people as possible will help to raise crucial funds by using the service which will still cost only 25p per card, the same as in previous years.

The collecting boxes will be delivered to the following shops: Co-operative (Trinity Road), Dennis’s, Lidl, News Plus and The Squarie Newsagents on Friday, November 26 remaining there until 2pm on Thursday, December 16.

The group wishes to thank the proprietors of these shops for their assistance with this event. The sorting dates for the cards this year will be Monday, December 6; Thursday, December 9; Monday, December 13 and Thursday, December 16.

If you would like to help sort cards, the Scout hut will be open from 6pm onwards on these dates and any help is gratefully received, from children to grandparents – even if you can only manage a short time.

Readers are asked to note that Christmas cards can only be delivered to the town area of Brechin. Cards, for example, to Trinity, Little Brechin, Farnell, Edzell or other towns and countries will not be delivered.

If these types of cards are mistakenly posted in the collecting boxes, please contact Corrie Morrison-Clark so that they can retrieved and returned.
