Bank fund open for applications

The bank’s Regenerate Fund, being delivered in partnership with giving platform Neighbourly, is offering schools, charities and community groups across Scotland the opportunity to apply for funding to fund sustainability projects.

The scheme will see 50 successful applicants receive £3000 to turn their ideas into reality.

Focused on sustainability, the fund is open to organisations and groups based in Scotland whose project aligns to one of four areas: Energy Efficiency and Buildings; Environment, Nature and Biodiversity; Food, Water and Waste, and Transport and Mobility.

The fund is open to a variety of bodies, including schools, colleges and universities, as well as charity and community groups.

The closing date for applications is August 11.

Judith Cruickshank, chairperson, One Bank Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Scotland is home to many organisations who are already making a difference in our communities.

"The Royal Bank Regenerate Fund will create opportunities for these groups to not only begin their sustainability journey and bring their climate ideas to life but help inspire others to do the same.”

Neighbourly is the bank’s programme partner. Neighbourly is a B-Corp organisation which will verify each organisation, manage payments to successful applicants and monitor the use of each grant.
