The spring weekend will see the second episode and culmination of Bob and Roberta Smith’s The Arbroath Template project which is a system of making and sharing inspiring images.
The project is building an online open collection of art, generated by Smith, other artists, students and museum visitors across the country as well as school children within walking distance of Hospitalfield.
We are inviting the audience to dip in for half an hour or to come for the day.
Programme manager, Laura Simpson said: “Our forthcoming open weekend at Hospitalifield where we are working with the artist Bob and Roberta Smith and 20 other really exciting emerging artists to present a weekend of performances and workshops all hosted within our usual open weekend format of heritage tours, access to the house and cafe with tasty food.
“We are inviting the audience to dip in for half an hour or to come for the day.”
Hospitalfield is working with 20 artists to not only upload an artwork to the collection but to to also present new work at the Spring Weekend.
