The unit photographer with 45 Commando based at RM Condor, Andy Laidlaw, has won The Peregrine Trophy, the Commandant General’s award for the Royal Marine photographer who has taken the most outstanding series of photographs depicting Royal Marine subjects.
Andy entered photographs which he took on tours of Afghanistan.
The competition was sponsored by Calumet Photographic. Andy won £500, The Peregrine Trophy and was also presented with a Royal Marine plaque.
Andy lives off camp at St Abbs Road, Arbroath, with his long term girlfriend Debbie Rogers and three-year-old daughter Libby-Jane.
