Timmy Mallett, the well-known TV entertainer who is also a talented artist, will make a return visit to Broughty Ferry next month.
His exhibition, ‘Mallett’s Palette’ opens at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at the Eduardo Alessandro Studios, Gray Street, where the artist will be present. Timmy held a successful exhibition at the same venue in May, 2012.
With TV shows like ‘Wacaday’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity!’ Timmy is one of the most colourful characters in show business today.
But away from his hectic TV schedule he loves art. He is a talented artist and his work is sought after by collectors at home and across the world.
Working daily in his studio Timmy is accomplished in oils and acrylics, and takes his inspiration from the ever-changing seasons and his travels across the UK and the world. A love of painting came to him at an early age and he studied History of Art as part of his degree at Warwick University.
Before the exhibition Timmy, accompanied by Lorraine Kelly’s husband Steve, will ride their bicycles from Inverness to Dundee. They set off on Monday, March 31, ending in time for the exhibition’s opening.
Timmy commented: “Scotland provides me with so much inspiration and the scenery takes my breath away. This is why this inspirational bike ride is so important. When I get back home I will get my paint brushes out and get these scenes on canvas. I just love Scotland!”
