ARBROATH’S cultural centre has a busy calendar of events coming up in the next few weeks.
Kicking off the programme with an evening of music on Friday, August 31, is classical guitarist Mark Anthony McGrath and his eclectic repertoire.
Mark’s work regularly features on Radio Scotland, Radio France Musique, RTE Lyric FM among other European stations.
A spokesperson for Hospitalfield House said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to Hospitalfield House this August when he will be playing Brel, Weiss, traditional Scottish and Irish music and some original works on six and 13 string guitars.”
The concert begins at 8 p.m., refreshments will be on sale, tickets are £8 and are available from firstname.lastname@example.org or 07825872370.
On the weekend of September 8 and 9 the doors of Hospitalfield House will be opened to the public for a chance to see more of the house and its artists, and enjoy some live music.
A selection of artists and designer craftsmen will have their work on display and for sale in the arts and crafts fair, alongside exclusive Angus Open Studios.
As with previous open days the grand rooms of Hospitalfield House will be open to the public free of charge and tours of the building will take place every half hour from 11.30 a.m. at £2 each.
Produce from the HOPE garden will be on sale, along with light refreshments, including sandwiches and home baking from the Friends of Hospitalfield cafe.
