AN ARBROATH artist has opened her first solo exhibition in Dundee.
Victoria Kerr (28) opened ‘My voyage of Discovery’ in the Discovery Point Cafe Gallery on Saturday.
The exhibition will run until March 28 and showcases Victoria’s talent with mixed media on a variety of subjects.
A former pupil of Alva Academy in Clackmannanshire, Victoria’s family moved to Arbroath 10 years ago so she could attend Dundee College.
She is profoundly deaf and suffers from ME, a condition which her parents, Dianne and Alistair, believes contributed to her passion for art.
Dianne explained: “Victoria has been ill with ME for 10 or 12 years and we moved here because we heard Dundee was a good place for deaf people.
“In a roundabout sort of way she was very good at graphic design and she got an A plus at advanced higher.
“She had hoped to become an architect but she took ill with ME and then her art became an interest.”
