Family fun and frolics at college

Hundreds of folk from Arbroath and further afield braved a robust wind and sometimes lowering skies for Angus College’s Family Fun Fayre last Sunday.

Thanks to the weather, most stalls had been re-sited indoors to create a substantial covered market for visitors from as far afield as Stonehaven and the Carse of Gowrie.

The raffle and tombola, generously supported by local firms Mackays and Howdens of Montrose, plus local branches of ASDA and Tesco, proved a big hit as always.

A particular favourite with younger children were the chicks of various ages, making a special appearance from a project being run by the Animal Care team.

Gastronomes were delighted to see Arbroath Smokies in a starring role, and small boys were excited to tackle the controls of a mammoth tractor.

Learner engagement officer Katie Anderson thanked the many members of staff and the students whose efforts made the endeavour a success.
