Fresh from the Haig Club set with David Beckham and Guy Ritchie is Arbroath film ‘Blood Loss’ new leading man.

Former Scotland rugby star turned model/actor, Craig McGinlay will be filming over the weekend in Arbroath with recently formed Arbroath film company IronStar Films.

“To attract big name actors is huge for us, it really is a big, with their name comes greater recognition, which will allow us a better chance of showcasing the hard work and brilliant finished product to more people,” said Jennifer Cooper, who has a wealth of experience in the Scottish film industry and has previously worked with Craig. “Everyone is very excited, what started out as a little project has just become bigger and bigger.

“Craig is just a downright good actor, he is the kind of guy that girls fawn over and guys want to have a pint with.”

Craig’s co-star on Scottish film ‘Fairy Flag’, Alan Cuthbert will also star in the debut short.

“This is yet another amazing scoop for the recently formed IronStar Films,” Jennifer continued, “Alan is an amazing catch for ‘Blood Loss’.”

A former police officer and flourishing actor, Alan has had parts in ‘Sunshine on Leith’, ‘River City’, ‘Silent Witness’ and ‘Waterloo Road’.

Written and directed by former Arbroath Academy pupil Graeme Carr, the zombie tale of retribution and redemption was funded through crowdsourcing and the generous loan of various locations from local property owner’s son, John Carsewell.
