Vics match hit by the weather

YET AGAIN the weather decimated the junior football card, with only one match going ahead in the East Region, the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup fourth round match at Montrose between Roselea and Jeanfield Swifts, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

With Arbroath having escaped the worst of the snow which had enveloped Angus, Arbroath Vics were hopeful that their league match at home to Blairgowrie would go ahead. However, despite working to remove the snow and ice for around 90 minutes on Saturday morning, it proved a futile attempt and the match was eventually called off at 10.30 a.m.

The same fixture is scheduled to take place again tomorrow (Saturday) with a kick off time of 1.45 p.m.
