Double celebration for Arbroath ladies

THE ARBROATH and District Indoor Bowling Club ladies’ team completed the double at the weekend by winning both the Premier League Trophy and the Scottish Cup when they travelled to Falkirk along with a host of spectators to play holders Coatbridge in the Scottish Cup.

In the early part of the game the lead changed hands several times and at the half way stage it was level.

It was then that Arbroath managed to put a few good ends on the board to open a gap between the teams. Coatbridge failed to claw their way back into the match and Arbroath kept forging ahead. By the end of the match Arbroath won comfortably 92-61 shots making it a great end to their season.
