THE INAUGURAL meet in the long course Grand Prix series took place at the Dollan Aquatic Centre in East Kilbride at the weekend.
These meets will be primarily aimed at offering St Thomas’ best swimmers the opportunity to race against high quality opposition, usually in long course format, at key periods of the competitive season.
A number of swimmers from the Arbroath club travelled through to take part.
Nathan Watt swam a number of impressive races to notch up personal best times and make B finals in both the 100 and 200m butterfly.
Dan Baty also swam a PB time in the 50m butterfly and swam a season’s best in his other events.
Megan Baty, recovering from a series of injuries, also swam close to her best times.
Katie Philips, although just outside her best times, did gain a Scottish squad qualification time.
