Film fund-raiser

ANGUS Mountain Bike Trails Association (AMBTA) is holding a film night in the Hannah Maclure Centre, Abertay University, Bell Street, Dundee, on Friday, May 11, in Dundee. Doors open at 7 p.m.

This follows another premiere screening the group ran in January which successfully raised nearly £700 for the charity.

All proceeds will go to AMBTA to help in their continued work in the Angus region. The night promises to be a good one with the premier of the new big budget Mountain Bike film ‘Strength in Numbers’ by Anthill Films followed by ‘Find’, a film by Reset Films.

The group has also recently benefited from a grant of nearly £4,000 courtesy of the Angus Council Community Grants scheme. The money is being used for a mountain bike training and coaching initiative which will benefit Angus residents and schools.

Tickets and further information can be found at www.ambta.info and the groups Facebook page www.facebook.com/theambta
