With the weather settling down, there has been some good fishing at Lintrathen. The fish are just under the surface and have been taking a range of flies on floating lines.
Club results: Balbeggie AC, eight boats, 51 fish for 113lbs 8ozs; Stanley & Dist., five boats, 36 for 82lbs 9ozs; Kingfisher 20, four boats, 23 for 54lbs; Perth RASC, five boats, 29 for 62lbs 4ozs; Dundee Hydro AC, three boats, 18 for 40lbs 14ozs; RAF Northern League, eight boats, 25 for 49lbs; Leslie & Glenrothes AC, six boats, 28 for 65lbs 14ozs.
Individual boats: Jim and Dave Moncur (Invergowrie), six for 13lbs; John Browning (Glen Isla), five for 9lbs 6ozs; Moira and Stewart Ferrier, four for 8lbs 6ozs; R. Thomson, four for 8lbs 2ozs; Gavin Ferguson (Kirriemuir), five for 13lbs 8ozs; Messrs McPherson and Stewart, six for 16lbs 4ozs (incl two at 4lbs).
The East of Scotland pairs competition was held on Saturday. The winners were Randy Bright and Mick Tarbet with nine fish for 22lbs 1oz. Runners-up were Derek Russell and Willie Milligan with six for 16lbs 1oz. Twelve competitors took 29 fish for 64lbs 2ozs.
