RISING Arbroath tennis player Jonny O’Mara has been celebrating after winning his first men’s title on Sunday.
Jonny won the AEGON British Tour event in Bournemouth after overcoming top seed Nicolas Rozenweig 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
And not only that, Jonny beat three world ranked players on his way to the final and did it without even dropping a set.
It has been a busy time of late for the 18-year-old after recently competing in a tournament in Malaysia while this week playing in a pro-futures event.
And a win in the opening match of this event on Tuesday means he has now secured a world ranking and is part ATP men’s tennis circuit.
And next month, he will be taking part in a Grand Slam event after having entered the French Junior Open.
This will be followed by playing in Junior Wimbledon for the second time at the end of June.
