OVER the course of the Arbroath pool season interest has gathered on a new Summer Pool League.
Some 32 entries were received by Tuesday’s deadline and these have been split into four groups, each consisting of eight players. This will be a round robin format, which also sees a handicap system adopted for this tournament.
Upon completion of the groups, the top four players then go on to contest the Premier Event, and the bottom four players contest the Plate Event, at Summer Finals Day.
Groups A, B and C will start on Tuesday (June 7), Group D will commence the following Tuesday (June 14). Please ensure you check the website/Herald for your fixtures/venues. Any queries please do not hesitate to contact Bash via PM on the website or on 07921 722 033.

Players to sign in at venue by 8 p.m. First match on is first listed and races are to five. Players to referee own matches, any disputes please contact Bash or Dunny (07925739795). Any players who do not show without contacting their opponent will be deducted one point. Players should note it is the winner’s responsibility to text or ‘phone the score into Bash upon completion of the match (07921 722 033).
