ARBROATH and District Indoor Bowling Club’s gents’ team played host to Perth in their latest Scottish league game.
Still looking for that elusive first win of the campaign, in the early stages of the game they had a five-shot advantage after the opening two ends.
But with five ends played it was Perth who had nudged ahead by one shot.
Over the next five ends the home side upped their game to lead by 10 shots at the halfway point.
Perth rallied to narrow the advantage to a solitary shot, but the home side regained the initiative and finished the stronger side over the last quarter to record their first victory.
Hopefully, this is a step towards achieving a few more wins over the remaining games of the season.
