THERE was a strong entry of 112 for Arbroath Artisan Golf Club’s Saturday Spoon competition.

Moore Cup

The fourth round of the Moore Cup on Sunday attracted an entry of 61 and was played to a CSS of 72.

Winner was Lee Strachan.

11 to 14 - Duncan Young (12) 70; Jim Lafferty (11) 71; Dave Pearson (13) 72.

Artisan Ladies’ Section

Stableford, round five, Saturday, August 27, and Tuesday, August 30, CSS: R/O both days – 1, Lynda Birse (20) 31 points; 2, Margaret McNicoll (35) 30 points; 3, Anne Caird (17) 29 points.

Letham Grange Ladies

THE MEDAL seven and winter strokeplay was played over the Old Course last Sunday and Tuesday.

Results were: Division One – 1, A. Crabb (14) 85 net and 2, C. Clark (15) 89 net. Division Two – 1, C. Beattie (22) 79 and 2, I. Johnstone (21) 94 net.

The Senior Ladies Open was held on the Glens Course at Letham Grange Golf Club on Monday.

Results were: 1, M. Clapp, Kirriemuir (28) 62; 2, E. Forbes, Arbroath Artisans (30) 63; 3 S. Jackson, Letham Grange (24) 67 and I. Johnstone, Letham Grange (21) 67.

Other winners were: Best scratch player, C. Clark, Letham Grange; Nearest the pin at the sixth, S. Jackson, Letham Grange and longest drive on the 13th, E. Forbes, Arbroath Artisans.
