Twenty four members attended the meet on Sunday, March 16, to Glen Moy.
Starting at the bridge over the Burn of Glenmoye, 17 members headed past the farm and uphill over Shank Hill, Rough Craig and Balbui before heading north-east to Hill of Glansie (726m).
A circular route was then taken by Dog Hillock, Meg Swerie, Finbracks and Manywee before heading down to the bothy and heading back to the cars along the West Burn of Glenmoye, approximately 12 miles, six hours.
Seven members opted to take a shorter circular route heading north east towards Glencuilt then north round by Craigthran and round to the bothy before returning back to the cars, seven miles, four hours. Although windy on top it was a beautiful sunny day with lovely views all round.
The next club meeting is at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at the Star Inn, Friockheim. The speaker will be Peter Hargraves on the Rob Roy Way. All welcome.
The next walk, on Sunday, April 20, is a Lochnagar circular route from Loch Muick. Please contact the secretary on 01575 575206 if you would like to attend.
