Four-man team event

THE ANNUAL Arbroath and District Pool League charity four-man team qualifying round will be held on Tuesday (March 13). No league pool will take place on that day.

There are eight venues, five with four teams and the rest with only three. The format is only one qualifier from each venue. Venues with four teams will have two ‘semis’ and then a ‘final’ to decide who goes through. Venues with only three will have one ‘semi’ and one bye and those two will then play off to decide who qualifies.

The format is four singles and a deciding double if required. Lag every frame. Controllers must text/’phone the qualifier to the match secretary.

The eight qualifying teams will then go on to compete at the charity four-man team finals day on March 25. The venue is to be confirmed.

Super 11s

The Arbroath A and B1 squads travel to Craig Tara, Ayr, this weekend to compete in the Super 11s ‘A’ event.

The squads are as follows:

SPA Grassroots

Some 51 entries have been received for this year’s SPA Grassroots competition. The qualifying draw for this will be published in the Herald when it has been carried out and published by the SPA.
