AN ARBROATH and District Pool League B1/B2 squad has been invited to play a friendly match against Forfar. It will take place on Sunday, October 2, at the Victoria Bar, Forfar.
A spokesman for the league stated: “This will be a valuable learning experience and it will allow us to compete with a team from a different area. Forfar are now affiliated to the SPA and our team may even face them at future SPA events.”
The format will be similar to the Super 15s where the teams will do battle in 15 singles. These will either be best of three in each singles match, or three sets of 15. The entry is £10 per player.
If enough interest is generated there is an opportunity to possibly take two teams and have a mini-tournament.

Any spectators, who are willing to travel, support the teams and watch the match are more than welcome, particularly those players who would like some exposure to these team events.
