Fisherman’s (2) on title course

THERE are only three games left in Arbroath and District Darts Leagues competitions, and Fisherman’s (2) seem to have the Premier Division championship sewn up.

They beat nearest rivals Burns Bar (1) away on Monday and are six points clear, but with six points to play for it is still mathematically possible - though highly unlikely - that they could slip up.

And they seem determined to hold on to their 100 per cent record to the end.

In the First Division, Abbey are champions after recording a home win over West Port Bar on Monday.

The fight now is for second place between Commercial (L) and Cliffburn (1), both of whom have 24 points, and West Port Bar, a further three points behind.

And a similar situation exists in the Second Division where Bowlers (1) made sure of the championship title with a workmanlike 9-3 home victory over Pageant.

Lorne, Cliffburn (2) and Station (1) will now be battling for second place.
