PREMIER Division leaders Fisherman’s (2) had a bye on Monday but remain two points clear. Closest challengers, Burns Bar (1) destroyed their stablemates, Burns Bar (2), to stay in touch.

In the First Division, Abbey conducted a demolition job on St Thomas to maintain their three point advantage at the top, and Cliffburn (1), in second place, also won by a huge margin.

Second Division leaders Bowlers (1) and the chasing pack of Lorne and Cliffburn (2) all won to maintain the status quo.

Peem Pearson qualifiers

The Peem Pearson Triples will be played at four venues across the town on Monday Night. Teams must register with the referee by 8 p.m. and must have three players present. Players cannot change teams or move venues in the event of not having a team.

Two teams from each venue will qualify for the quarter-finals on finals night to be played at the Cliffburn Hotel on Saturday, June 2.

Scottish Mixed Doubles

The players who have qualified for the finals of the Scottish Mixed Doubles which are to be played tomorrow (Saturday) in the Bannockburn Miners’ Club should register at the venue by 12 noon. Toe the Oche at 12.45 p.m.

The draw will be made on the day.

BOWLERS hold on to a two point lead at the top of Division One after a comprehensive home victory over Pageant (1) on Thursday. The chasing teams are Pageant (2) and British Legion two and four points in arrears respectively.

In Division Two, Railway hold a similar advantage over their nearest challengers Lorne with Burns (1) a further two points behind.

Division Three leaders are Ship, who also hold a two-point lead. The chasing pack is led by Commercial and Ram’s Heid (1), both on 14 points.
