THE ANGUS club of British Military Martial Arts which trains at St Vigeans has produced yet another world champion.
Following on from student Garth Hendry’s world title success at last year’s championships, Dougal Preston has become the new WMKF World Champion in the veterans’ section.
Dougal said: “This is a dream come true for me. I only took up the sport two years ago and now I’m world champion.
“I feel very honoured to be part of such a fantastic club.”
Club sensei Jason Aston, who came third in the black belt section, added: “I am very proud of all my students and to have two world champions training at my dojo just shows the depth of talent we have in Angus.”
For anyone wishing to follow in Dougal and Garth footsteps and represent Scotland at next year’s WMKF World Championships, the first step is to contact Sensei Jason Aston on 07913695790 to book your free introductory class.
