THE CLIFFBURN 1A are this year’s Charity 4-Man Team champions. They defeated a strong Portcullis 1A team 3-2 in the final.

Both teams topped their respective groups with maximum points (three wins from three group matches) and progressed to the semi-finals.

Cliffburn 1A played their Second Division side, Cliffburn 2A, in the first semi-final which the first team won 3-1. The Portcullis had to endure a deciding double to separate them from their semi-final opponents the Newgate to book their final berth with a 3-2 win.

The final was a see-saw affair which was tied at 2-2 after the four singles matches. A deciding double was the order of the day for Portcullis, unfortunately it didn’t swing in their favour this time and Cliffburn 1A ran out winners.

Thanks are extended to Richard and Brenda Jones of the Ram’s Heid for their continued support and hosting of the event and their generous donation towards the charity fund.
