Confidence is riding high at Arbroath United says club captain Marc Petrie.

The Lochlands men kept their 100 per cent record intact on Saturday with a 73-run win against Stoneywood Dyce at home.

The result sees United sitting top of the Eastern Premier Division after two games.

And Marc is delighted with their magnificent start.

He told HeraldSport: “It was another good performance on Saturday as they are a difficult team with some good players.

“But we were always confident of the win without being arrogant. Now we just need to build on it.”

Tomorrow (Saturday), United go in against Aberdeenshire, who are also unbeaten.

Marc added: “We have a bit of a local rivalry with them but they have a great ground to play at so fingers crossed for a good win and hopefully the right result.”
