Burns Bar (1) maintain their unbeaten start

BURNS Bar (1) maintained their lead at the top of the Premier Division and their unbeaten run with a 7-5 win over Newgate.

Fishermans (2) kept the pressure on when they beat the other Burns side 9-3.

Abbey (1) and Fishermans (1) share top spot in the First Division after both were held to 6-6 draws.

However, only three points separate all six teams in the league.

In the Second Division, Portcullis (2) moved to within two points of Commercial (L) whose game was postponed.

Committee meeting

There will be a full committee meeting in the Abbey Lounge at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Portcullis (2) Captain Willie Bissett and Burns Bar (1) vice-captain Derek Craig are asked to attend with regards to the postponed Knock-out Cup match.

Competition entries

Captains are reminded that entry forms for the singles, doubles and triples should be handed in on Monday (December 13) to the committee in the Fishermans Lounge between 8 and 10 p.m. Please ensure the correct fees accompany the entries.

First football cards

Again captains are reminded that the first football card and monies should be handed in the Davie Bruce in the Newgate on Monday (December 13) between 8 and 10 p.m.

Christmas break

The league will break for Christmas after the Cup/Shield matches on Monday December 20, and will not recommence until league matches on Monday, January 10.

The league matches scheduled for Monday, January 3, are postponed due to Lakeside 2011 and will be played on a Wednesday night in February with the date to be confirmed.

Arbroath and district Ladies’ Darts League

DUE TO the adverse weather conditions, the Knock-out Cup and Consolation Cup semi-finals have been re-scheduled to be played on Thursday, December 16.

The finals will take place at a later date.
