Hillwalking

Laggan trip

THIRTEEN members of Forfar and District Hillwalking Club enjoyed a grand day by bus to Laggan (north side).

Ten members started the walk at Aberarder Lodge and climbed onto the ridge and had a fantastic high level walk with great views along to Creag Meagaidh. A herd of around 500 deer was seen on the hill. Three members opted for a shorter walk and walked from the Nature Reserve car park up to ‘the window’ and on to the summit of Creag Meagaidh. This route is on a superb path surrounded by many native trees and wild flowers.

This Sunday (August 26) is a social meet to Auchtavan. Check website for details. (www.fdhwc.org)
