Arbroath fail to make play-offs

DEFENDING champions Arbroath United missed out on a place in the Clubsport Indoor Sixes Cricket League play-offs.

A win over Strathmore wasn’t enough to take them through to the last four, with United also losing to Dundee High School FP at the Mayfield Sports Centre, Dundee, last Wednesday.

Through to the last four are Kinloch, Rossie Priory, Forfarshire and Strathmore.

Results: Forfarshire 79, Dundee High School FP 47; Strathmore 40, Arbroath 88; Dundee High School FP 72, Arbroath 64; Forfarshire 106, Strathmore 65.

ARBROATH’S female footballers are being sought by a Montrose club.

Now in its second season, Montrose Youth is looking to recruit experienced players from Arbroath and the surrounding district. Training takes place in Links Park, Montrose on a Friday between 6 and 7 p.m. and lifts are available.
