Angling at Lintrathen

With the water temperature dropping, anglers on Lintrathen Loch have been experiencing some great sport. One boat took the limit and returned 15 rainbows!

Fish are now being seen and taken round the edges of the loch with a number of decent sized rainbows coming out at the Sawmill end. The best fish this week was a nice rainbow at 5lbs 8ozs.

Floating lines have been doing best with dry flies on calmer days and small Cats Whiskers, Diawl Bachs, Pearly Black Pennels, Kate McLarens and Coral Boobies on other days.

Club results: Wiremills AC, nine boats, 44 fish for 80lbs 6ozs.

Individual boats: Messrs Lennon, Robertson and Jeffrey, five for 10lbs 8ozs; Harry Furey, four for 7lbs 12ozs; Ian Runcie and Dave Nicholl, four for 7lbs 12ozs; Jim Hardie, four for 7lbs; Mr Rose and partner, three for 9lbs 6ozs; Jim Moncur, four for 7lbs; Danny Lennon and party, eight for 14lbs 6ozs; Dave Moncur and Jack Soutar, five for 10lbs 4oz; Jim Stanger and party, 13 for 28lbs 9ozs.
