All to play for in the race for Premier Event places

AS ARBROATH Summer Pool League heads into the penultimate week of this year’s competitions, the race for places to the Premier Event couldn’t be closer.

No less than five players are separated by two points in Group A for the second and third automatic qualification places. Well done to Richard Paterson who has secured his place with a game to spare.

Group B enter their last fixtures this week and results need to favour certain players to affect the standings. Group C appears to be a battle between Jonathan Cargill and Jim Dear for third spot, with Gordon Dickson and Steve Hamilton sitting first and second respectively with 100 per cent records. These two will battle it out against each other in their last match.

Group E is led by Martin Cherry who is followed by four players separated by only two points.
