The weather again disrupted the junior football programme with many matches the length and breadth of the country called off.

Unfortunately for Arbroath Vics their league match away to Lochore Welfare was one of the many that didn’t start; a waterlogged pitch seeing the game called off at 10 a.m.

Only two matches in the McBookie.com North Divison beat the elements on Saturday, with Dundee North End extending their lead at the top of the table to 18 points with a 6-0 home win against Brechin Vics, albeit they have played several more games than the chasing pack.

The other match that went ahead saw Blairgowrie move into third place with a 2-1 win at home to Forfar Albion.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Vics are away to Forfar Albion in the league. Kick-off is at 2.15 p.m. and transport leaves Ogilvy Park at 12.45 p.m.
