Tickets for Lichties’ massive Scottish Cup clash with Rangers go on sale

TICKETS for Arbroath’s Scottish Cup fourth round tie with Rangers will go on sale on Sunday after the club was given permission to up the capacity at Gayfield to just under 6,000.

After new barriers were installed both Tayside Police and Angus Council have agreed to increase the ground number to 5,895.

The game will be an all-ticket match with prices set at £18 for the terracing and £20 for the main stand. Season tickets are also valid for the game.

A limited number of concession tickets for the terracing for over-65s and under-16s are also available priced £10.

There is a very small number of stand tickets for sale, which will be sold on a strictly first come, first served basis at £20.

When tickets go on sale, season ticket holders wishing to sit in the stand will have to produce their ticket and purchase an upgraded ticket.

There will be a charge of £2 for adult season ticket holders and £10 for senior citizen, juvenile and junior season ticket holders.

These tickets will go on sale on Sunday at Gayfield and for the first two days, priority will be give to season ticket holders, shareholders and voucher holders.

From 10 a.m. until noon on Sunday, sales will only be open season ticket holders wishing to upgrade to a stand ticket or purchase an additional ticket with a voucher.

Shareholders who are not season ticket holders can also purchase tickets at this time.

Then from noon until 2 p.m., tickets will go on sale to voucher holders and will continue into Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.

From Tuesday (December 20), any remaining tickets will be on general sale on a first come first served basis.

They will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then 6 to 7 p.m. Any remaining tickets after this will be on sale weekdays mornings from Gayfield from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Season tickets are valid for this match and season ticket holders will gain entry to the match by showing their season ticket on the day. They are only required to purchase an additional upgraded ticket if they wish to sit in the stand, subject to seats still being available. Payment for tickets can only be made by cash or cheque.
