ARBROATH manager Paul Sheerin and his assistant Stewart Petrie have signed up for a further two seasons at Gayfield on the back of their championship winning success.
Chairman John Christison revealed to the Herald on Monday that the boss and his right hand man have extended their deals for two years.
In Mr Sheerin’s first season in management he has led the Lichties to their first ever league title with Stewart Petrie also playing an integral part, running things from the touchline when the manager is playing.
And the news will no doubt delight the fans who have been eager to see the manager and assistant remain at the club.
The chairman told the Herald that he was delighted the pair have extended their contracts and hopes there will be more success in the future.
He said: “We are obviously delighted that they have agreed a two year extension to their contracts and have committed to the club.
“Now hopefully we can build on the success we have this season.
“Now Paul and Stewart are signed up we will now be concentrating on signing players nad hopefully we can start doing that in the next week or so.”
