Season can’t come quick enough for Milne

New signing Steven Milne has already notched up two goals in pre-season and the striker can’t wait for the competitive games to come.

Milne pledged his services to the Lichties after leaving Dundee at the end of the campaign and is no stranger to Angus football, having spent a loan spell at Forfar Athletic.

And with a massive season ahead, the 33-year-old knows it is going to be tough.

He said: “It is never easy playing teams like Rangers but we should look forward to hopefully putting in some good performances.

“I think we have to aim for the play-offs although you have to say Rangers are favourites for the title with the money they have been spending.”

Milne had an up and down season at Dens Park during the last campaign before opting to join Paul Sheerin’s men.

And now he is glad of the chance he has been given at the Lichties.

He added: “All I want to do this season is enjoy my football again.

“And so far I’ve been enjoying it more than I thought I would.

I’ve managed to score in a couple of pre-season games so hopefully that will continue.”
