ARBROATH Vics were without a game for the fourth successive Saturday when their first round GA Engineering Cup tie away to East Craigie was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Ironically, Ogilvy Park was in a playable condition, but the Dundee side refused Vics offer to switch the tie to Arbroath, perhaps understandably considering the match was only called off at 9 a.m., leaving them little time to make arrangements.
No new date has been set for the match to be re-scheduled, but the winners have been drawn away to Stonehaven in the next round.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Vics are at home to Blairgowrie in a league fixture with a 1.45 p.m. kick-off. The match was originally to have taken place in Blairgowrie, but with Davie Park, looking unlikely to be playable, the Perthshire side agreed to reverse the fixture as early as Monday afternoon.
Winners in the 150 Club this week were: £10 – No. 132, Craig Sturrock; £5 – No. 3, Howard Cargill.
