LIVE football commentaries from Gayfield resumed on Saturday after a break of almost a year.
In conjunction with the club, Radio North Angus broadcast commentaries for many years, but these were halted last March as the commentary room space was required for the expanded hospitality suite.
Alternative locations were examined and, finally, a new facility was created at the north end of the main stand.
RNA is grateful to the club for the facilities and also to Bill and Colin Scorgie, joiners and building contractors, Barry Road, Carnoustie, for conducting the necessary renovations.
Regular football commentator Andy Medford was joined by a new commentator, sport and music presenter John Robson. The afternoon proved to be a success for both RNA and the club, with the home team winning 2-1 against Annan Athletic.
Arbroath may be the only team in Scotland that has every home game broadcast on an independent local radio station.
RNA has received favourable comments from, amongst others, listeners in remote areas of Canada and Australia who enjoy hearing commentaries, streamed as part of the output on www.radionorthangus.co.uk in addition to the FM and DAB broadcasts.
