ARBROATH FC have been handed a glamour tie in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup as SPL champions Rangers will be the visitors to Gayfield on the weekend of January 7.
And the Lichties stand to receive a bumper pay day with increased gate receipts and the possibility of extra cash if the game is chosen to be broadcast live on TV.
It was a penalty by player/manager Paul Sheerin four minutes into injury time that sealed the win against Keith on Saturday and set up the tie against the Ibrox club which last came to Gayfield in the cup in January, 2003.
And on Tuesday night manager Paul Sheerin, captain Stuart Malcolm and some of the younger players were celebrating landing such a high profile game.
