AN ARBROATH Junior football club did its bit for the development of the sport in the town at the weekend.
On Saturday at Ogilvy Park Arbroath Victoria JFC presented the Arbroath Lads’ Club Under-nines squad with 20 brand new footballs.
According to Arbroath Vics secretary Neil Hardie, the club is always looking to help with the development of close community ties and the promotion of youth football in the town.
He said: “We are keen to get involved with the community as much as possible. A lot of the members of the committee worked with boys’ clubs in the past and know how hard it is to get the kits and the equipment to make it viable.
“Clubs like these are the future so we are keen to do any small thing we can to help.”
