ARBROATH fans received some hugely disappointing news today when it was revealed that Josh Falkingham is set to join First Division Dunfermline Athletic if compensation is agreed between the Pars and the Lichties.
The midfielder has been integral to the success at Gayfield over the last two seasons.
The Pars, who were relegated from the Premier Division last season, are looking to bounce straight back up to the top flight.
And Falkingham could be the man to help them do just that.
The 21-year-old has been a hugely influential player for Arbroath over the last two seasons and popular with the fans for his silky passing and gritty determined style.
But it was no secret that the former Leeds United man wanted to play at a higher level and will go with the club and supporters’ best wishes.
Falkingham played 67 times for the Lichties, netting 17 times.
Compensation has to be paid because Falkingham is under the age of 23.
