Former Arbroath player Jordyn Sheerin has been named in the Scotland Amateur Football select chosen to face a Scotland Amateur Football League side this weekend.
Jordyn pulled himself out of his sick bed to net five goals for the Lothian and Edinburgh Select side on Sunday.
A cousin of current Arbroath FC player / manager, Paul Sheerin, Jordyn is understandably delighted.
He said: “It will be a great honour to represent my country, if I am selected. I can’t wait to get started.”
On his performance in Sunday’s match the modest striker said: “I think my overall performance was okay after my initial start. I was delighted to have scored five goals. However, I had a few more chances which I didn’t take and I would have liked to.”
