Arbroath boss Dick Campbell will run the rule over a number of trialists this week as the Lichties begin their pre-season friendlies.
The side played Dundee United behind closed doors on Wednesday evening before they fact Premiership outfit Motherwell this coming Sunday at Gayfield.
And the manager said he has a few players to look at with the potential of an offer of a playing contract.
Some players like Bryan Prunty and Gavin Malin remain on holiday but the likes of Mikey Dunlop, pictured, have joined training and look in top shape ahead of the pre-season campaign.
The manager is very happy with the way his squadlooks following the loan addition of young Aberdeen goalie Robbie Mutch and says he has a few loan deals still to come later in the summer.
He also revealed that experienced goalkeeping coach John Ritchie will be joining the backroom staff at Gayfield this season.
Dick said: “We’re in a very good place now with the squad and I’ve still got some loans to make in the summer.
“Jim and Gavin and others are on holiday right now but the boys in training look good, big Mikey Dunlop’s back and he’s looking good.
“I’m very excited about things going forward now.
“We’ve brought John Ritchie in as goalkeeping coach and I’m absolutely delighted to secure John’s services for the season.”
Arbroath host Motherwell this Sunday at 3pm.
