The season may only finish on Sunday when the final play-off match between Hibs and Hamilton is played, but already Arbroath are looking ahead to next campaign.
Two friendlies are already fixed up - at home to Aberdeen on June 28 and Livingston on July 16.
“The Aberdeen one was maybe a bit earlier than we would have liked as we are only back to pre-season on the 21st, but they are playing in Europe the following week, so we were happy to accommodate them,” said gaffer Paul Sheerin.
“They are bringing a strong team so we might get a few through the gate too.
“It won’t be a problem because players come back in good shape these days. Gone are the days of them finishing for months and not keeping themselves fit.”
On the signing front, the boss has nothing new to report: “We are constantly looking for players, but they have to be the correct players with the same aim that everyone at the club has which is to get back to League One at the first attempt,” he added.
“We also have offers out to players from last season who we are hoping to hear back positively from.”
