Doris in running for PFA award

ARBROATH striker Steven Doris is in the running to be named the Scotland PFA Second Division Player of the Year.

Doris (23), who has 21 goals so far this season, has been nominated much to the delight of manager Paul Sheerin.

He tweeted: “Well done 2 all nominees 4 the pfa player of the year awards especially our very own Steven Doris.”

Doris is up against Airdrie United’s Ryan Donnelly, John Robertson of Cowdenbeath and East Fife’s Ryan Wallace.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Glasgow on May 6.
