VOLUNTEERS are needed once again to help get the Lichties’ local derby against Forfar at Gayfield on tomorrow (Saturday).

The Lichties’ last scheduled home game against Alloa two weeks ago succumbed to a waterlogged pitch.

Then Saturday’s trip to Stranraer was also hit by the weather due to snow and icy conditions in the south west of the country.

And as it is two weeks without a game and a bumper crowd is expected for tomorrow’s clash, the Gayfield ground staff are eager to do all they can to make sure the game goes ahead!

An attempt on Monday morning to pull the pitch covers on was thwarted due to high winds but a group of volunteers returned to the ground on Tuesday evening to pull the covers over the park and protect it from the elements.
