ARBROATH FC had their most successful open day ever with approximately 50 local children taking the opportunity to train with their heroes at Gayfield.

First the young Lichties enjoyed a session with the club’s head of youth Gavin Beith on the Low Common before they made their way back to Gayfield.

There they had the opportunity to train with the players and meet the manager Paul Sheerin with refreshments provided by McDonalds at the Westway Retail Park.

The club said they would like to thank all the young supporters who came along and McDonalds for supplying the refreshments.

Later on Saturday evening the boss also took the opportunity to meet some of the older fans in a question and answer session in Tutties Neuk.
