ARBROATH striker Steven Doris will not be joining Birmingham City this month, according to press reports from down south.

The 24 year-old had spent last week with the Midlands club on a trial after impressing Blues manager Lee Clark during the Lichties televised clash with Celtic in December.

However, Clark is quoted in the Birmingham Mail as saying they will keep an eye on Doris for the rest of the season after he impressed during training and has not ruled out a move for the forward player in the summer.

Doris, who is in his fifth campaign at Gayfield is under contract until the end of the season.

The transfer window has been a busy one so far, with Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin bringing two ex Lichties Ross Chisholm and Graham Bayne on board so far.
