ATHLETES who represented the Angus and Dundee Battalion at the Army Cadet Force National Sports Competition which was held at Grangemouth Athletics Stadium last Sunday.
A total of 35 cadets pitted their wits against the seven other Battalions from around Scotland.
A cold and blustery day with periods of driving rain and sunshine did not deter the determined cadets. With the support of eight adults, including Sergeant Instructor Kerry Ann Stewart who is the detachment commander of Brechin Black Watch, the cadets won a total of 18 gold and silver medals, and tied in winning the intermediate girls’ trophy. The cadets also came second in three other categories.
