SUCCESS FOR YOUNG ARBROATH CRICKETERS

A FUN Kwik Cricket competition was held at Forthill, Broughty Ferry on Saturday when Arbroath took victory with 298 runs to Forfarshire's 264.
In the next match United face Strathmore at home tomorrow (Saturday).
In the Asda sponsored Kwik Cricket Scottish Finals, played at Lochlands on Thursday, Ladyloan School emerged winners for the second consecutive year.

They will travel down to Leicestershire County Cricket Club's ground at Grace Road, for the All Britain Finals, which take place on Monday, July 14. Whatever the outcome, Ladyloan have achieved notable success and will be worthy Scottish representatives.

Holiday cricket is now under way at Lochlands and continues with the primary fours on Tuesdays, and primary fives, sixes and younger sevens on Thursday's under the direction of club professional Chris Johnston, ably assisted by the club's junior players, in the absence of adult coaches who have work commitments.

Children should be at Lochlands by 9.15 a.m. for a 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. session.
